COLQUITT CO.- Whites Bridge Road - Apparition of a woman walking on the bridge accompanied by the cry of a child
ALBANY - Adams Family Graves - The Adams Family Graves are located on a dirt road near the Baker County line. It is a small family grave yard that also has four unknown civil war soldiers graves. No one knows if the graves belong to confederate or union soldiers. Driving down the road you can hear moaning and see things moving in the woods but when you reach the grave yard you hear nothing and see nothing except the graves. If you sit in your car for a while you can see people enter the grave yard and hear them talking. then they disappear and you hear and see nothing again
DOUGLAS - Douglas visitor center- was once owned my a man who hanged himself from the balcony, it has been said that you can hear footsteps at night in the building.
Old Douglas Hospital - Which is now the education building. Many people have seen an old typewriter being typed on at night. At night, the last people to leave will open all the doors down the hallway and as they begin to leave they will look back and all the doors will be closed. A nurse and her tray have often been heard going down the hall. You should definitely come and examine this place

Savannah
Savannah - 1790 Inn and Tavern - This Inn was built in 1790 and is haunted by a girl named Anna She was a seventeen year old girl who was shunned after getting pregnant by a sailor. The sailor was said to have jumped out of the third story window and died. He haunts the same room the window was located. Guests claim to lose things such as wallets, ID's, and underclothes. They will later be found in planters or behind bookshelves. People have also reported hearing Anna in the room moving things around.

Ghosts Of Tift County In Georgia
A certain church (we have to leave it unnamed for respect reasons ) has a haunted graveyard that we have had our own spooky run ins . While driving slowly by late at night we saw a 8 foot tall dark figure luming through the graveyard . It was so large that it could have touched the roof of the church . We didn't hang around to find out what it was . It is a legend that the two oldest graves there are vampire graves . They are surrounded by a black iron cage with a lock that no matter how many times is changed is broken . On there graves the only mention of God is on the back where it says may God have mercy on thy soul . In the woods behind the church is an entrance to a path that leads to a cave that the church was built on top off . The cave has 4 stone chairs and a stone center that looks like a table . It is believed to be where a witch coven met . The most recent story was a man and women who were married at the church and 3 years after they were married she cheated on him .When he caught them together in their home he went back to the church and hung himself from the large 100 year old oak tree . If you park under the tree you can hear him crying and hear his feet scraping on your car . We will try to have pictures of the graves up soon so keep checking back .

Atlanta
Atlanta - The Masquerade - A nightclub rumored to be frequented by true vampires. It is said that a vampire actually lives on the premises. The building was once a textile mill where several young girls died in accidents and others developed tuberculosis because of the dangerous working conditions. Shrieks, footsteps and other noises are frequently heard during non-business hours on the back stairs, where cold spots are often felt. The building has been the site of a number of freak accidents including fires and structural collapses.
The Bell Witch Cave Tennessee
The Bell Witch Cave is located in Adams,Tennessee on the John Bell Farm . The farm was first owned by Kate Batts . In 1804 John Bell and his family moved to Tennessee and bought 1,000 acres from her . She claimed that the Bell family cheated her in the land deal but no one believed her because the Bells became such a popular family . She vowed to get revenge on the Bells . Everything was fine until after Kate Batts died . John Bell and his children began to see odd animals out in the woods and on the farms . They saw birds that looked human and an old woman walking through there land . Many other things followed such as strange noises from outside there house that moved inside . Then illness fell on him and his kids . The witch would even beat them and threathen them . The horrible events followed until John Bell's death . The Bell witch sang and rejoiced at his grave until the last of his family left.There is said to be a cave where she resides and haunts still .

Haunted Place Hunting
Ok so we like to ride around Tift County and go to places that people claim are haunted and see if they are or not . Well we went riding down one road that we were just crossing to get to another road and we came up on these two kids walking with there backs to us . There was one that looked like a teenager and one that looked like he was about 7 . As we passed them the smallest one looked back at me and his face was painted all white and around his eyes were painted black and both of them had on plain brown jackets and pants . I looked back and the other kid's face was painted also . Well we wanted to get a better look and turned around . There was nothing but feilds everywhere so there was no where for them to go and they didn't have time to hide because we turned around as soon as we saw them . They were gone and we looked and looked for them and we couldn't find them anywhere . |
